LANSING, Mich., Sept. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Michigan Chamber of Commerce today announced that Jennifer Hoff will join the statewide business organization as Grassroots Action Coordinator, beginning September 19.

"We are pleased to have Jen join the Michigan Chamber's Business Advocacy Team," said Michigan Chamber President & CEO Rich Studley. "With a strong background in communications and state government, we believe Jen will be a great asset for Chamber members."

As Grassroots Action Coordinator, Hoff will work directly with Chamber members to develop and implement a comprehensive grassroots action plan to ensure that the collective voice of job providers is heard on important policy issues.

Hoff comes to the Michigan Chamber after serving at the Michigan Republican Party as Director of Communications for the 2009-2010 election cycle. Prior to that, Hoff was the Public Affairs Liaison for the Michigan Townships Association (2007-2009); Communications Coordinator for DeVos for Governor (2006); and served in a variety of communications roles for the House Republican Caucus in the Michigan House of Representatives (2003-2006).

"Jen's more than 10 years of experience crafting and delivering messages on a variety of political and policy issues makes her an excellent choice to work with our lobbying team as we continue to give job providers across the state a strong voice in policy debates," said Jim Holcomb, Michigan Chamber Senior Vice President of Business Advocacy & Associate General Counsel.

Hoff holds a bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and resides in Delta Township.
