Michigan Chamber to Respond to AFL-CIO Endorsement of Bonior for Governor At Aug. 24 Press Conference

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce will hold a press conference on Friday, August 24 to issue its response to the AFL-CIO endorsement of Congressman David Bonior (D-Michigan) for Governor of Michigan in 2002. The Michigan AFL- CIO is expected to issue its formal endorsement of Bonior for Governor on Friday morning.

Jim Barrett, Michigan Chamber President & CEO, and Dr. Gary Wolfram, a Hillsdale College economics professor, will be present for the news conference, which will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the State Capitol in Room 405.

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is a statewide business organization representing approximately 7,000 employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce.
