The Michigan Chamber of Commerce announced today that George Perrett, candidate for the State House in the 62nd District, has received its endorsement for the 2000 Election.
"George Perrett is a candidate of the highest quality," said Michigan Chamber President and CEO James Barrett. "He is pro-business, pro-jobs and pro-taxpayer. His position on the issues and his deep commitment to helping the people in his district will make him a great State Representative."
Perrett is challenging the incumbent State Representative who is seeking re-election but only scored a 26% on the Michigan Chamber's Job Providers Index.
The 62nd House District includes the townships of Bedford, Emmett, Pennfield and the cities of Springfield and Battle Creek in Calhoun County. "Job providers here and across the state look to the Michigan Chamber as a leading voice on business issues," said Perrett. "I am pleased to receive their endorsement and their confidence."
The Michigan Chamber of Commerce represents approximately 7,000 businesses, local chambers of commerce, and trade associations. With members of every size and type in all 83 Michigan counties, the Michigan Chamber represents a broad cross-section of the state's economy.NewsCom: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20000320/DEM039
