The Michigan Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee Board announced today its endorsement of Republican candidate Dave Hildenbrand in his bid for election to the 86th House District in Kent County.
"Dave Hildenbrand is a candidate of the highest quality," said Michigan Chamber President & CEO Jim Barrett. "He is pro business, pro jobs and pro taxpayer. His position on the issues combined with his political experience will make him a great State Representative."
A lifelong resident of the 86th House District, Hildenbrand has almost a decade of experience of getting results for West Michigan. He was the district representative for Senate Majority Leader Dick Posthumus, Deputy Chief of Staff for Lt. Governor Posthumus, and is currently State Senator Bill Hardiman's Chief of Staff.
The 86th House district includes the cities of Walker, East Grand Rapids, Lowell, and parts of Grand Rapids as well as the townships of Ada, Bowne, Grand Rapids, Grattan, Lowell, and Vergennes.
"I am grateful to have the support of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce, the influential voice and highly regarded advocate for Michigan's business community," said Hildenbrand. "I look forward to working with their membership to create a business environment that encourages job growth and retains and attracts employers in this state."
