"Leon Drolet is a candidate of the highest quality," said Jim Barrett, Michigan Chamber President & CEO. "He is pro-business, pro-jobs and pro- taxpayer. His position on the issues, his service as a county commissioner and his past experience as a legislative assistant will make him a great state representative."

The 33rd House District includes the city of New Baltimore, the townships of Chesterfield, Lenox and Macomb and a portion of Clinton Township.

There is a vacancy in the 33rd House District due to the death of former State Representative Janet Kukuk. The special general election will be held on Tuesday, March 20.

"Job providers here and across the state look to the Michigan Chamber as a leading voice on business issues," said Leon Drolet. "I am pleased to have their endorsement and confidence."

The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is a statewide business organization which represents approximately 7,000 employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce. The Michigan Chamber was established in 1959 to be an advocate for Michigan job providers in the legislative, political and legal process.
